Affiliate Disclosure

Disposal Fix Hub is a reader-supported site. This page explains exactly how that works, in plain language, because US law and Amazon's own program rules require it to be clear.

The short version

Some links on this site go to Amazon. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is the same. Nobody pays us to recommend a product, and no brand reviews or approves our guides.

Amazon Associates

Disposal Fix Hub is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

When a page contains an Amazon link, it appears in two places: a "Parts and tools mentioned" block at the end of the article, and occasionally as a plain text link inside a step. Every one of those links carries a disclosure in the surrounding text, and every page footer repeats the Amazon Associate statement.

How affiliate links work here

  • You pay the normal price. The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.
  • Links are marked. Affiliate links open in a new tab and carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, which is the standard way to identify them for search engines and readers.
  • Prices are approximate. The ranges we quote are typical US street prices at the time of writing. Amazon prices change constantly — check the listing.
  • Availability changes. If a linked product is discontinued, the link may land on a search results page for that part instead. We would rather send you to a search than to a dead listing.

What money does not buy

No manufacturer or retailer has paid for a recommendation, a ranking, a review, or a placement on this site. We do not publish sponsored articles. We do not accept payment to include a product in a guide. If we ever add another affiliate program, this page will list it before any link appears.

Product suggestions are limited to cases where a specific part is the actual fix — a splash guard that has hardened, a flange gasket that is weeping, a unit that has reached the end of its life. The repair instructions are complete without any purchase, and we do not tell you to replace a unit that can be repaired.

FTC disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose the material connection between this site and Amazon on every page that contains an affiliate link, in close proximity to the link itself.

Other revenue

The site may display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising is served by third parties and is not an endorsement of any product or service by Disposal Fix Hub. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies work.
